WEDDING October 2011
We wanted to send you all a "thank you" for doing such a wonderful job on our wedding. We really thought hard about where we were going to have our reception, and we are so glad we chose the Landmark. Kim was very professional and helped us in answering our huge list of "newbie" wedding questions. The same with Joe, who spent a lot of time with us discussing what desserts we wanted at our reception. They both put us at ease and we just let them take care of all of the details. We really wanted something unique, that our friends would talk for ages about. We booked the Sky Room for a cozy private dinner of about 35 with our family and the bridal party. Upon arrival, it was set up beautifully. Dinner was prompt and delicious! I highly recommend the whitefish. Our guests raved about how good it was.

After dinner we headed down to the Harbor Ballroom, where we were having our dessert reception. Joe went way beyond my expectations and made a lavish candy-land. We had brain-stormed with Joe and he made us a milk/white chocolate fondue station, with all sorts of fruit, pretzels, candies, cookies, bars, marshmallows and anything else you could want to dip in fondue. It felt like we were having a wedding reception in a Godiva chocolate shop. It was all displayed very artistically. On top of that we had a cake buffet that was set up beautifully. We had a rustic/fall theme and there were leaves, lanterns and burlap everywhere. He made us serveral different cakes. Our guests loved the Death by Chocolate and Raspberry Bomb. Joe even worked with Mark's allergies to pecan and walnuts. They all assisted us with anything we needed. There was very little we had to do or worry about.

Friends are still talking about how unique and beautiful our wedding was. We loved how well the Landmark pulled our wedding together. There were no glitchs and no hidden fees. They made it so pleasant. We would highly recommend the Landmark Inn to anyone. We look forward to coming and staying again for our anniversary.

The rooms were beautiful, the food and cake were amazing, the staff was very professional and the planning was so easy. I just wanted to let you know that we were very impressed with our dinner on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Landmark Inn. The service, food, atmosphere, everything was exceptional. We were extremely satisfied. I don't think anyone left hungry. A couple of friends from Marquette recommended your place to us and we will definitely consider coming there again if the opportunity happens again. I can't believe what a FANTASTIC job on everything the Landmark Inn did! The reception was flawless, with all involved; anticipating needs before I even saw them and being so pleasant and helpful. The waitstaff was prompt and discreet enough not to be in the way. They helped me cart gifts and cake to my car... everything was wonderful. I've never seen such a smooth operation in any business or event. Kudos to everyone involved with the wedding reception, rehearsal dinner and hotel rooms. Katie & James' room was awesome too! Great job.

Jeff and I would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all of you who made our wedding a tremendous success. We felt well cared for from day one. You made planning from 2,000 miles away a simple and easy process. Your attention to detail was impeccable and left us feeling confident and at ease. When the big day arrived, the hotel looked beautiful. Your presentation of the food and set-up of the space were perfect. We especially enjoyed the comfortable seating arrangements in your ballroom. It was intimate and inviting. The food was delicious, with a great selection to meet everyone's needs. Guests sent me thank you notes raving about the wedding cake, and I am still trying to fit in my jeans after eating a few pieces the day after the wedding. The cake buffet was a unique and fun highlight. You are all to be commended for your excellence in customer service, from the front desk staff to the kitchen staff. We were treated very well from the moment we first called. Thank you for making this day so fun! We could not have picked a better place.

Our experience was incomparable to anything we could have dreamt it might be... We felt the entire occasion was complimented by our rehearsal dinner at the Landmark Inn. The first evening in the Sky Room set the mood for the entire wedding weekend...Where we indulged, enjoyed, laughed and cried. Both of us felt that the entire evening was 100% incredible! We will be sure to visit again and again. We had the very best time. The food was amazing and the atmosphere, under the sky and angels - heavenly. Joe's dessert was "the Bomb" and the event was a huge success overall. You were a delight to work with and made everything come together in a picture perfect way.

Your team also made some great recommendations to Toni and Ben regarding the photographer, flowers and DJ, which were all exceptional. I would personally like to thank Michelle and Kim on all of your hard work in working with us on the menu, guest numbers and set up, as well as Joe "The Cake Guy." Thank you very much for the luscious cakes. The groom's cake was absolutely wonderful, everyone was so surprised that Ben had a cake! Please share our thanks with all of your staff and management. We were recently married in Marqutte and wanted to thank the staff of the Landmark Inn for their hospitality and help in planning our wedding weekend, especially Michelle and Kim. We live in Philadelphia and Michelle's assistance in planning our reception at the Landmark and making arrangements for our out of town guests was invaluable. The Landmark was the perfect place for our guests (many of whom had never been to Michigan before) to celebrate with us and also enjoy the beauty of the U.P.
